About This Lesson

Lesson designed to engage students into French culture and to promote language learning (could also be used to practice opinions / instruments).
Give an example and explanation of the styles of music on the bottom of the page. Then play the songs on the left-hand side of the sheet - students tick the opinions box and give the instruments that they hear. Then using whiteboards play other songs related to these styles of music (on second page) and students guess which style of music they're hearing. Then oral work from powerpoint. Could also then complete gap fill of the song by 'Amine'.

It takes a lot of time to search for and select songs that will appeal and be appropriate for different age groups. Sharing this resource will save teachers a lot of time and give classes a lot of enjoyment. Thank you!

this looks amazing- thank you. I've done some stuff on French songs too, if you fancy a look at my resources. :0)

Louise (and others elsewhere), I just find that sort of attitude so unhelpful. So here's someone who has spent time researching different current artists, then took the trouble to upload it, and all you can say is "here's a one star rating because there are mistakes but by the way I'm not going to tell you which ones!". I sure hope you don't treat your pupils like that! Emma, the very few mistakes (préféré, n'avez-vous pas aimé, aimé should agree so aimée) don't take away from a really good resource, thanks a lot!
