Biography
I am a Special Education Teacher with over 23 years in the classroom. I have taught in NYC, Boston, and Texas. I am currently dual certified in Special Education and General Education (ELA, HS) and also love to support new teachers in becoming better teachers and also coaching them to see if Education is a good match for them or not. Those are very open and honest conversations that are more like "life coaching" and are so interesting to have. I have worked many places, and was a founding member of KIPP: Austin Collegiate (a high school) in Austin, TX in 2008 as well as a founder of Ascend Brooklyn's first high school, Brooklyn Ascend High School, in 2015. I currently serve Middle School grades in Texas, 6th-8th.
