About This Webinar

Students are already using AI, sometimes wisely, sometimes not. Educators play a crucial role in helping them understand what these tools can (and can’t) do.

Join the MediaWise team at Poynter for a session on teaching and modeling responsible AI use. You’ll gain strategies to:

  • Integrate AI basics and ethical discussions into any subject area
  • Support students in building personal AI guidelines that reflect curiosity and integrity
  • Teach prompt engineering and critical evaluation skills
  • Address academic honesty, disclosure and environmental considerations

All participants will receive the alt+Ignite toolkit, a classroom-ready set of lessons, activities and assessment tools designed to foster AI literacy and confidence.

This webinar is part of Share My Lesson's 2026 Virtual Conference. Join the community or register for all sessions.
