Jahque Bryan Gooden is a visionary and strategist for liberation. Her commitment to this work began as a student advocate working directly with the late Harry Belafonte and at the nascent stages of what is now The Justice League NYC. Jahque continued in advocacy adjacent work by contributing research technical assistance to education campaigns such as NYC/CEJ’s campaign for Culturally Responsive Education. She co-authored the Responsive ELA Curriculum Scorecard, which has been downloaded over 50,000 times and cited across various outlets including Teen Vogue, the Daily News and used across the U.S, in India, and England.

Her work in education ranges from facilitating professional development to over a decade of developing and teaching decolonized curriculum for K-12 schools, detention centers, university affiliated community outreach programs, and her organization Youth Rethink. Youth Rethink utilizes a combination of YPAR research and anti-racist curriculum to amplify student voice and leadership. Currently Jahque is the Founder of My CRE Buddy Inc., an Edtech company that leverages AI for Culturally Responsive Education. My CRE Buddy empowers educators to transform their curriculum into culturally responsive, student-centered experiences. Through My CRE Buddy’s innovative tools and tailored guidance, we provide the feedback, modeling, and practical application strategies necessary to inspire and engage learners, fostering their growth as global change agents.
