About This Webinar

Supportive educators and trusted adults play a critical role in shaping the school experiences and long-term outcomes of LGBTQ+ students. In this interactive session, participants will explore research-based practices that signal safety, interrupt harm, and cultivate daily belonging in classrooms and school communities. Through scenarios, chat engagement, and a quick action-planning activity, educators will leave with practical strategies they can implement immediately. The session also introduces GLSEN’s professional development offerings, grounded in intersectionality and the Four Core Supports model, to help schools build consistent, sustainable systems of support for all students.

This webinar is part of Share My Lesson's 2026 Virtual Conference. Join the community or register for all sessions.

Very helpful and engaging session. Facilitators encouraged questions and discussion, even about changing state political climates related to treatment of LGBTQ+ students.
