CARE stands for Community Awareness, Readiness, and Education. This community is a space for educators, union leaders, families, and community partners to find tools, examples, and reference materials that support awareness, preparedness, and care when immigration enforcement actions or other moments of uncertainty may affect our schools and neighborhoods.
The resources here reflect lessons and perspectives shared by educators, union leaders, and community partners, including work from Minnesota communities that have generously shared their experience. These materials are offered for informational and educational use, with an emphasis on planning, structure, roles, and care—not real-time response or operational coordination.
Materials in CARE are provided as examples and reference points, not step-by-step instructions. If you choose to use or adapt anything here, please do so thoughtfully and in alignment with your local policies, legal guidance, and community context.
Some content in this community is publicly available to Share My Lesson members. Becoming a Share My Lesson member is free and available to everyone.
Additional examples, templates, and shared experiences are offered to approved members of this CARE community. Join Share My Lesson and request access to CARE to:

This is a living collection that will continue to grow and evolve as conditions change and additional insights are shared.
