About This Webinar

In this energizing, hands-on virtual session, participants will “flex” their own SEL muscles—like quitting the habit of taking things personally and asking clearly for what they need—to make everyday challenges feel lighter and more manageable while producing outcomes that feel successful and rewarding. The session will feel as if everyone is in the same room together—moving a little, laughing a lot, and practicing simple strategies that make hard moments feel lighter and everyday life feel more doable, no matter role or level of burnout.

Inspired by, SEL Muscle Mastery: 6 Tools for Building Resilience and Connection in Schools and Communities, (Corwin, 2025) and the Notice Choose Act® framework, this experiential webinar turns core skills into personally designed “muscle reps” participants can build over time instead of one more thing on their to-do list. Through experiential engagement, shared reflection, and real-life scenarios, participants will log off with an actionable “SEL muscle map” that helps them notice stress patterns and choose new practices to bring more calm, connection, and courage into any space. Participants will also gain ready-to-use language and activities to help youth and adults grow their own SEL muscles in ways that feel authentic, not forced, rewarding, not arduous.

Participants are invited to come ready to move a little, laugh a lot, and leave feeling stronger, more grounded, and better equipped to support both their own wellness and the well-being of those they serve.

I enjoyed this webinar and felt it resonated with a lot of the ideas and practices that teachers at my school have been trying to emulate and implement throughout the school year. Ideas were clear and relateable.

The 6 Critical Muscles of SEL - What resonated with me was the acronym QTIP and the "Power of I "for defusing power struggles.
