About This Lesson

http://www.freemathvideos.com In this video series I will show you how to solve a system of equations by applying the elimination technique. We like to use elimination when we have coefficients for the same variable equal in absolute value or with an easily obtainable LCM. Once we have the leading coefficients the same we will add them together if they are different signs or subtract them if they are different. Once we combine the two equations and eliminate one variable. Solve for the remaining variable and then substitute that variables value into one of our equations to find the value of the other variable.
