Micia Mosely, Ph.D., has dedicated her career to helping students reach their full creative and academic potential. Dr. Mosely began her career as a high school social studies teacher in San Francisco, CA and received her Ph.D. in Education, with an emphasis on Social and Cultural Studies from the University of California at Berkeley. She has been a leader in educational equity with the Bay Area Coalition of Equitable Schools, The Posse Foundation and The National Equity Project. In 2015 she founded The Black Teacher Project, an organization committed to helping Black teachers create communities of liberated learning. She currently serves as the Executive Director. Mosely is also an accomplished actress and stand up comedian. She also teaches people to play spades in an affirming environment free of shame.
