Biography
Amanda Centor is an educational liaison for the United Federation of Teachers (UFT) in New York City. While guiding teachers through licensing, certification and continuing education work is the main focus of her work, she also supports teachers by modeling lessons and facilitating professional development. Focused on Teacher Center schools, she works alongside the director of the Teacher Center and has delivered the state-required mandated reporter training to nearly 100,000 UFT members. Her background in students with disabilities and 10+ years in the classroom have helped pave the way for this work.
