You pour so much of yourself into your classroom—planning lessons, supporting students, partnering with families, and even bringing extra joy through the dance team you coach. And outside school, you’re juggling grocery runs, laundry, cooking, cheering at your daughter’s games, caring for your home, and trying to find a little time for yourself.

With all of that on your plate, it’s easy to see why professional learning can feel like one more thing. But your dedication and heart shine through in everything you do. You’re making a real difference every day, and it’s OK to give yourself grace along the way.

While your exact schedule may differ, I’m guessing some version of this rings true. And with so much to learn—but only micro amounts of time—what’s an educator to do?

Enter MicroLearnings.

AFT’s Share My Lesson has always had educators’ backs—through ready-to-use lessons, timely blogs, live webinars, and on-demand PD. But now, we’re going smaller to help you go further.

MicroLearning modules are short, focused and practical PD experiences that deliver one key concept or strategy in about 15 minutes or under. They’re easy to access, free to use, open to everyone, and each one earns you one hour of professional development credit.

Whether you’re new to the classroom or decades in, these bite-sized modules are designed to fit your micro time without overwhelming your schedule.

While more MicroLearnings will be launching soon, there are four Strategies for Student Success MicroLearnings you can explore right now:

These aren’t just shortcuts—they’re smart, intentional steps that honor your time and strengthen your practice.

So go ahead—start with one. Share it in a professional learning community. Revisit when you need a spark. Because when educators keep learning (even in micro moments), students do, too.
